Started as a one-off charity act by Australian expat Sumayyah Sayed in 2016, the 'Ramadan Sharing Fridge' initiative has been getting bigger each year since. And Dubai Scholars refuses to be left behind. So, what is a Ramadan Fridge?
In simple words, it is one of the most generous gestures of all time. But there is quite a lot more to it... The fridge is managed by a donor or 'Fridge Manager'(in this case, Dubai Scholars), and is filled up with food and water contributed by donors (students and teachers) living in the area. Aimed at workers and labourers who require sustenance at Iftar, the fridges offer free food, juices and water. Students are requested to keep in mind the expiry dates when adding any food item to the fridge. We urge you to pick up the nearest (fresh) snack and contribute to the fridge! Ramadan Kareem
